As some of you know, I'm a massive Harry Potter geek.
As some of you also know, I'm attending the Order of the Phoenix launch and the release of Deathly Hallows in July, as well as the Armageddon Convention later in the year for a bit of a smockers meetup.
What some of you don't know is that I'm so geeky as to go in costume, and the logical choice for me is Tonks.
Thus, I've designed a Weird Sisters tshirt.
Some of my friends are actually on this shirt, so it'd be really weird if you went and printed it off. I'll keep you posted on how it goes when it gets to be printed, though.
hooray for geeks!
I tried to do the simple thing with it, I think it'll last longer if it's not really intricate and I could pull it off with putting a stencil under the silk screen instead of setting up a real silkscreen process (emulsifiers and UV lights aren't much fun).
So I'm totally wearing it when the events are over, as well.
Luckily, you're not the only one out there who's geeky enough to go places in costume. Tonks is the logical choice for me as well, but come the night of Friday July 20th, I hadn't finished my Weird Sisters shirt. Frantically, I ran here, to Deviantart, and found this excellent graphic. Hopefully you don't mind that I did print it out and stick it on my hard found purple t-shirt. Thanks for putting it up; it's a geek's dream.

I hope everything went okay for you- I found it so hard to find a purple tshirt! I thought that'd be the easy part. I don't mind that you printed it out for personal emergency use, I just really don't want to see it on cafepress or the like at any stage.
The thing I do like about the shirt is that contrary to popular opinion, the weird sisters has thirteen members, not four, like in the goblet of fire film (but that wasn't the only thing wrong about that film *grumble*)
Hope to see pictures of how the shirt turned out, if you took anything, and you enjoy that book!
One thing really struck me when I looked at this....It looks very similar to the logo for A Chorus Line the musical just wondering if that is where you may have gotten you inspiration?
Alas you are truely no the only geeky one to go in costume I too went to the book and movie release in costume as Tonks none the less. I'll have pictures of myslef as Tonks up soon if you want to go have a look see.

I had a problem with finding the purple shirt too. I wound up getting one at a sports store; I guess they had them because of youth uniforms...
I forgot my camera, but my friend got some that she'll hopefully give to me.
Hopefully you enjoyed the book as much as I did. Thanks, again.
